We provide a range of kayak experiences on the Aude River — from relaxed family rides to more technical athletic descents.

Beginner Kayak

This course is ideal for first‑time kayakers. You’ll paddle about 6 km of river with class III rapids at most, accompanied by a professional guide who provides safety instructions and basic technique training. The run ends on calm water just downstream of Axat

Sport Kayak

For more experienced paddlers, this route covers around 7 km and includes both calm sections and more challenging river features. Practice advanced techniques like bracing, current reading, and maneuvering through technical passages.

Family Kayak

Perfect for families who want a milder adventure, this paddle takes place near Alet‑les‑Bains, featuring relaxed sections with class II rapids, and can be done as a half or full‑day trip.

The Aude River – Your Playground

The Aude River originates on the slopes of the Carlit peak in the French Pyrenees and flows about 230 km to the Mediterranean Sea, offering diverse paddling conditions from calm stretches to lively white water.

Safety & Requirements

  • Swimming skills required: All participants must be confident swimmers.

  • Equipment Provided: Kayak, double‑bladed paddle, life jacket, helmet, and guide support.

  • Weather / Conditions: Trips may be modified or canceled for safety reasons.

Meeting & Logistics

Meet at our base near Axat in the Aude region. Parking is available at the roundabout near Pont d’Aliès, and guides will take you to the launch point.
